When Frater Danny Thomas founded St. Jude Children's Research hospital in 1962 he envisioned a world where no child would have to endure the pain and suffering of catastrophic diseases. He envisioned a world where families wouldn't have to worry about paying to fight these awful conditions alone. He envisioned a world where every child would have the health care that they needed.

Today, we continue this fight for him. Pumpkin Pummel is a campaign started by Tau Kappa Epsilon Upsilon-Iota chapter to fight the battle for those who are too small to fight for themselves. We are raising funds and awareness so that no child is denied treatment based on race, religion, or a family's ability to pay.

Frater Danny Thomas opened the doors to St. Jude with the dream, "No child should die in the dawn of life", and we're not giving up until that happens.

How your donation helps:

Thanks to donors like you, no family ever receives a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food – because all a family should worry about is helping their child live. Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago. Join me! Together we can help St. Jude change the world.

The Upsilon-Iota Chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis was installed as a chapter on August 20, 2005.

Since 1899, Tau Kappa Epsilon has never had an exclusionary clause for membership. TKE does not judge men on their wealth, rank or honor, but instead on their personal worth and character.

Our mission is to "to aid men in their mental, moral, and social development for life." In essence, we build Better Men for a Better World.
