Why does it cost so much?
$350 bucks a semester is not really a lot considering all of the great opportunities and benefits you receive.
Imagine going on a date. You drive to her house and to the date location ($20). To impress her, you go buy flowers ($15). You take her to dinner ($50) and then you go to a movie afterwards. You buy the tickets ($20) and popcorn and two sodas for you ($20) and her. By the end of the night, you've already dropped $125.
With TKE, the money you put in per semester goes to benefit both you and the chapter. You get at least one shirt per semester, you get to go to chapter sponsored events for free, participate in chapter intramural sports, among many other things. One of the largest things dues pay for is the yearly Red Carnation Ball, the formal dance sponsored by the chapter for all of the members. Besides all of this, you get a ton of priceless opportunities to benefit the community, network with alumni and other Tekes nationwide, and many other awesome benefits.
